SUPPORT BREASTFEEDING IN CHALLENGING SITUATIONS

Saturday, September 20, 2003 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the San Mateo Senior Center.

Conference Objectives:

Promote the importance of exclusive breastfeeding among professionals
Explore challenging breastfeeding situations
Discuss roles health professionals play in supporting the challenges of breastfeeding.
Identify common challenges of breastfeeding
Demonstrate effective methods of combining employment while breastfeeding

Continuing Education Credit is being applied for the following disciplines: International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, Registered Dieticians, Registered Nurses, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Family and Marriage Therapists, and Certified Health Education Specialists; Medical Doctors still pending.

Babies at the Conference—Due to the professional nature of this conference, only quiet infants in arms or soft baby carriers are permitted in educational sessions. No older children or strollers are permitted.

Registration Fees include the two breaks, buffet lunch, and conference materials. Continuing education hours, additional $25 fee.

Early Bird Registration fees (Postmarked before August 20, 2003) $75
Regular Registration (Postmarked after August 20, 2003) $95
Walk-In Registration (as space permits) $115
Continuing Education Credits $25
