CAREGIVING: FROM DESPERATION TO INSPIRATION A DAY OF HEALING FOR CAREGIVERS

Presented by The Center for Gerontology Spirituality & Faith on Saturday, November 8, 2003 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm in Palo Alto, CA.

The Center for Gerontology, Spirituality and Faith invites you to gather with other caregivers. Caregiving professionals, students, nurses, chaplains, social workers, nursing attendants, home health aides and family members caring for loved ones at home should attend this one-day workshop to learn new techniques on how to inspire and motivate caregiving energy.

Participants will:

Learn how to relate to a client or care recipient of a different background or ethnicity.
Understand how suffering, loss and transition can contribute to caregiver stress.
Learn useful tools that help support, inspire and strengthen caregiving communities.
Identify techniques that decrease stress and increase energy, concentration and enthusiasm for work.

Full day with continuing education hours and lunch included- $65.00
Full day family caregiver or student with lunch- $35.00
Half day 1pm-3pm- $20.00 for family caregivers and students (no lunch)
