• Panel Discussion Series at San Mateo Public Library

    AACHAC and the African American Library Advisory Commitee will co-host three moderated panel discussions featuring a diverse group of local medical, political and education experts. The focus of each panel will on the impact of race in the areas of medicine, politics and education on today’s society. Our goal is not only to discuss and to empower our communities for positive change. These programs are free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.   • Come See a Free Community Screening on August 25th! HBO Film: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

    AACHAC, in partnership with the African American Library Advisory Committee, is hosting a free community screening of HBO’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, starring Oprah Winfrey, 2:00pm at the San Mateo Main Library, 55 West 3rd Avenue, San Mateo. Discussion and Raffle will follow screening. Refreshments will be served. Space is limited, register today!
